Summer Courses Online
TWO POPULAR ONLINE COURSES AVAILABLE THIS SUMMER!
AG BM 200 and AN SC 215
Students, move your education forward by enrolling in the following, very popular, online summer courses offered through the World Campus (limited seating):
AN SC 215: Pets in Society (Satisfies General Education - Social and Behavioral Sciences) AN SC 215 is designed to encourage you to think critically about the many different aspects of companion animal use in today's society. Although many people have dogs as companions, a dog may fill the role of a child to a childless couple, a service provider for a disabled individual, a police officer's tool for sniffing drugs, or a drug dealer's weapon. Many people have strong opinions on the role of pets and we'll discuss some of these controversial issues. We'll also look at the risks and benefits of companion animals on physical and mental health and development from a social science perspective. How our decisions regarding pet selection and ownership affect the animal's welfare and the rest of society will also be examined.
AG BM 200: Introduction to Agribusiness Management AG BM 200 is designed to prepare students to manage time, money, and people - basic business management skills needed to successfully handle situations in the workforce. This course's primary audience is the person who is pursuing a technical career and is looking for a single business management course that can stand as the cornerstone of a successful career. This combination of technical and business skills is what employers most desire in their employees. This is why most technical degrees require a course in business management.
