** Frank Anthony Scholarship in Agricultural and Extension Education
This scholarship is available to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Preference will be given to incoming first-year students with documented financial need. Recipients can retain the scholarship in subsequent years providing they maintain a minimum grade-point average of 2.5. Endowed by friends and family of Frank Anthony.
Allen L. and Richard H. Baker Memorial 4-H Scholarship
Consideration shall be given to any student who (1) completed the first semester and is enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student; (2) is presently enrolled in a 4-H club or has been a 4-H club member; and (3) gives evidence of satisfactory academic achievement. Preference will be given to eligible candidates who plan to work with youth following graduation. Endowed in honor of Allen L. and Richard H. Baker.
Henry S. Brunner Outstanding Senior Award
Applicants must be Agricultural Education majors who have at least seventh semester standing during the spring semester, have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 2.5, and are active participants in the Penn State Collegiate FFA Program. Endowed by Henry S. Brunner.
Samuel M. and Joan B. Curtis 4-H and FFA Award
Consideration for this award shall be given to all graduate and undergraduate students majoring in Agricultural and Extension Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have been active in the Pennsylvania 4-H or FFA program during high school.
Donald E. and Cheryl K. Evans Family 4-H and FFA Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education who have been active members of both Pennsylvania 4-H and FFA during their high school tenure, have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities or leadership potential. First preference shall be given to students from Blair County or Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
** Boyd C. Gartley Memorial Scholarship
Consideration is given to full-time undergraduate students with a major in Agricultural Education who have expressed an interest in agricultural journalism, have completed at least two semesters of study, and have documented financial need. Endowed by the Interstate Milk Producers Cooperative.
** David R. McClay Agricultural Education Award
Eligibility is open to full-time students enrolled in the Agricultural Education major who have satisfactory academic standing and documented financial need. Endowed by Dr. David R. McClay.
** Grant M. Miller Memorial Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who are majoring in Agricultural Education who have declared an interest in teaching rather than in extension education or who are majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries with an emphasis on management of healthy forests and wildlife population and protection or Landscape Contracting who have achieved a minimum 2.5 grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) and have shown improvement in their grades from the previous academic year and who have demonstrated financial need. To the extent permitted by law, students shall be United States citizens.
** Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Scholarship
This scholarship is open to students who are members or sons or daughters in families who are members of PREA. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in Agricultural Education or other majors in the College of Agricultural Sciences and must have documented financial need. Applications must be filed through the local Rural Electric Cooperative. Applicants must also file scholarship application forms in the Office for Undergraduate Education.
