This degree program focuses on the molecular mechanisms by which humans and animals protect themselves from pathogens. Students build a solid foundation in mathematics, physical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology, and then specialize with courses in immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, and bacterial and viral pathogenesis.
More...The Penn State Biomedical Sciences Club is open to students of all majors who are interested in the biomedical sciences.
Our activities will include informal research talks by faculty and students, opportunities to meet professionals in a wide variety of fields, workshops on admissions to professional schools of all kinds, and lots of fun with other students with interests like yours.
