This degree program focuses on the molecular mechanisms by which humans and animals protect themselves from pathogens. Students build a solid foundation in mathematics, physical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology, and then specialize with courses in immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, and bacterial and viral pathogenesis.
