The Horticulture Club is an organization for all university students interested in plants, gardening, and landscaping. The goal of the club is to educate both its members and the public on sound horticultural practices, new plants, and new techniques. The largest event that the club conducts throughout the year is the annual Horticulture Show. For this event, the agricultural arena on campus is turned into a full indoor landscape and all of the material is sold to help fund the club. Other events throughout the year include spring flower sales, trips, guest speakers, and community service. Meetings are held bimonthly in Headhouse 1, behind the Tyson Building.
Penn State Landscape Contracting and Horticulture students compete.
The Flower Judging Team participates in the Annual National Intercollegiate Floral Crop Quality Evaluation and Design Competition, which is sponsored by Pi Alpha Xi and the American Floral Endowment.
