Collegewide Scholarships

John N. Adam Jr. Scholarship for Excellence in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success, and are members of the University Scholars Program. Endowed in memory of John N. Adam Jr., Class of 1933.

Ag Student Council Leadership Award.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in any academic college at Penn State who have exhibited outstanding leadership in at least one club within the College of Agricultural Sciences and who have a minimum grade-point average of 2.0. Endowed by the Ag Student Council of 1991-92.

AgChoice Farm Credit, ACA Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are members (or whose parents or guardians are members) of AgChoice Farm Credit, ACA, and who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Relatives of AgChoice Farm Credit directors and employees are not eligible for this scholarship. Supported annually by AgChoice Farm Credit, ACA.

Alpha Gamma Rho Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time first-year students planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. Supported annually by the Gamma Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho.

**Alpha Zeta Award.
Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved ranking in the upper two-fifths of their class who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students who are members of the Alpha Zeta Fraternity and who are not receiving other awards or scholarships. Second preference shall be given to all students who are members of the Alpha Zeta Fraternity.

Alpha Zeta Lindley and Dorthy Dennis Memorial Award.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are members of the Morrill Chapter of Alpha Zeta Fraternity and who have exhibited excellence in scholarship, leadership, and fellowship. Endowed by an anonymous donor.

** Robert R. Anderson York Foundation Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who will be in their junior or senior year of study when the scholarship is used, whose home is in York County, Pennsylvania, and who have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 2.5. Preference shall be given to students with documented financial need who are pursuing a major in a field of production agriculture or taking courses in agriculture. Endowed by the York Foundation.

** Andrews Family Scholarship.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University who have achieved a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0) scale, who are from Westmorland County PA and have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. The selection should be based on the following criteria (in order of importance); entering freshman, extent of financial need, extracurricular involvement and food science majors.

Angstadt Family Agricultural Excellence Scholarship.
Eligibility for this scholarship is open to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have exhibited leadership in both extracurricular activities and resident education and who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by Mr. William E. Angstadt.

** Leonard H. and Anna Jane Baird Family Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate and/or graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences or the College of Health and Human Development who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have proven financial need. Endowed by Anna Jane Baird.

Alec and Lexi Beliasov Scholarship in Agriculture.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have shown outstanding academic success and who participate on a varsity athletic team as a player or as a team manager. Endowed by Mr. and Mrs. Alec J. Beliasov.

** Alec and Lexi Beliasov Trustee Scholarship for the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. First preferences shall be given to students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

John and Beverly Bernardi Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of academic success. Endowed by John and Beverly Bernardi.

** Bicksler Scholarship.
This scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a history of community responsibility, have maintained academic standing, and show documented financial need. First preference will be given to juniors or seniors. Endowed by the children of Homer J. and Katherine L. Bicksler.

** Diane C. Blanton Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. First preferences shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Environmental Resource Management program within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Roy C. Buck Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are U.S. citizens and who have achieved fifth-semester standing and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0. First consideration shall be given to residents of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Endowed by Roy C. Buck.

** John and Mary M. Byerly Scholarship in Agriculture.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students planning to enroll at Penn State who show promise of outstanding academic success or exhibit leadership qualities and have documented financial need. First consideration shall be given to graduates of Cedar Cliff High School in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, who plan to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Should there be no eligible recipient in a particular academic year from Cedar Cliff High School, second consideration shall be given to Agricultural Science students whose home address is in Cumberland or York county. Final consideration shall be given to all incoming first-year students, regardless of the college they choose. Endowed by John M. Byerly, Class of 1942.

**Charles W. Cameron Scholarship in Agriculture.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all sophomore, junior or senior students enrolled in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science (with or without emphasis in Poultry Science), the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, the Dept. of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology or the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education who have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average and who have demonstrated financial need.

** Larry and Lisa Campbell Scholarship.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have demonstrated financial need. One student should receive the full amount of the scholarship per academic year to be used for tuition, until such time, if ever, that the principal in this fund will support more than one full scholarship. The recipient must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. First preference shall be given to graduates of Greenwood High School (Perry County, PA). Second preference shall be given to students that graduated from a high school located in Perry County, Pennsylvania. Third preference shall be given to other students in Pennsylvania. For each preference group the selection should be based on the following criteria (in order of importance):Entering freshman, extent of financial need, extracurricular involvement, students who are among the first generation in their families to attend college or a university, food science majors.

** Lester Earl and Veronica Casida Scholarship for the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have demonstrated financial need.

** Class of 1934 Grant-in-Aid.
Consideration shall be given to full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing who have documented financial need. First priority is given to seniors and second priority to juniors. If there is an excess of funds, sophomores may be considered. One award is given in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Endowed by the Penn State Class of 1934.

** College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Scholarship.
These scholarships may be awarded to any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Students are to be selected on the basis of academic record and/or character, leadership qualities, and documented financial need. Endowed by college alumni.

College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society Internship Awards.
The College of Agricultural Sciences Alumni Society provides awards to assist qualified students in gaining educational on-the-job learning experiences through internships. Consideration shall be given to all full-time College of Agricultural Sciences students who have met the selection committee’s requirements. Interested students should consult the Office for Undergraduate Education for applications. Supported annually by college alumni.

** College of Agricultural Sciences Enrollment Incentive Award.
Consideration will be given to incoming minority first-year students in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are U.S. citizens of African, Hispanic, or Native American descent. Eligibility will be determined by the predicted grade-point average. The amount of the award also will be determined by the predicted grade-point average and will be renewed annually providing the student makes satisfactory academic progress. Awards will be made in addition to University minority enrollment incentive awards, departmental scholarships, and other non-need based awards.

** College of Agricultural Sciences Memorial Scholarship.
Scholarships will be available to all students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have shown superior academic achievement and have documented financial need. Supported by funds from friends and faculty of the college. Endowed by college alumni.

** Waldo Wilbur Corl Memorial Scholarship. 
Eligibility is open to all graduates of State College Area High School enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have demonstrated academic ability or show promise of academic success, exhibit traits of character and leadership, and have documented financial need. Endowed through the estate of Elsie M. Corl.

** John H. and Timothy R. Crouch Trustee Scholarship.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have demonstrated financial need.

Emmett C. Dawson Jr. Memorial Award in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are extraordinary academic achievers. Endowed by Mrs. B. Louise Dawson in memory of her husband and friend, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Emmett C. Dawson Jr.

Delta Theta Sigma Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are members of the Beta Chapter of Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who participate in extracurricular activities. Endowed by alumni and members of Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity.

Galen Dreibelbis Endowment for Excellence in Agriculture
This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records and have documented financial need. Endowed by Galen Dreibelbis.

**Jack H. Dreibelbis & Miriam Keim Dreibelbis Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

**Bruce and Alice Jean Edwards Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this Scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Forest Science major within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Eisenhower Memorial Award
Awards may be made to students who have completed at least one year of study in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Criteria for selection include superior academic performance, character, professional promise, participation in extracurricular activities, and work experience. Awarded in the College of Agricultural Sciences in even years. Endowed by members of Alpha Zeta Fraternity.

Farmshine Scholarship in Dairy and Animal Science. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of academic success. Preference shall be given to students who have participated in the Governor’s School for Agriculture. Endowed by Mr. and Mrs. Dieter Krieg.

Ray Finegan Agricultural Leadership Endowment. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by John J. Finegan.

Leslie N. Firth Scholarship in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are residents of Mercer County, and who have achieved superior academic records and/or have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership qualities as evidenced by participation in 4-H and extracurricular activities. Endowed by the Mercer County Cooperative Extension Association from friends and family of Leslie N. Firth.

** Hugh F. Gerhard Scholarship in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved or show promise of achieving outstanding academic success. Candidates must have documented financial need. Endowed by Hugh F. Gerhard.

** Homer V. Gifford Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success and have documented financial need. Endowed in memory of Homer V. Gifford, Class of 1929.

Lola Ash Gifford Memorial Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success and are graduates of Benton Area Junior-Senior High School in Benton, Pennsylvania. Preference is given first to declared chemistry majors, second to students enrolling in the Eberly College of Science, and third to students in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Endowed by Homer V. Gifford, Class of 1929.

** Mason C. Gilpin Scholarship - Master Farmers Association. 
All students enrolled in any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are Pennsylvania residents in good scholastic standing and who have documented financial need are eligible for these scholarships. Supported annually by the Master Farmers Association.

** Frank H. and Ilene Glenn Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved a minimum of 3.25 GPA during the first five semesters and who have documented financial need. Endowed by Frank H. and Ilene Glenn.

** Eva B. and G. Weidman Groff Memorial Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Candidates must exhibit or have potential for above-average academic achievement, participate in extracurricular or community activities, and have documented financial need. Preference shall be given but is not limited to students who provide evidence of participation or a desire to participate in agriculture-related programs on an international basis. Endowed through the estate of Eva Brinser Groff.

Richard and Barbara Grubb Agricultural Excellence Award. 
Consideration shall be given to all students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have shown leadership in both extracurricular activities and resident education and all entering first-year students who participated in the Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences. Endowed by Dr. Richard E. and Barbara C. Grubb.

** Paul R. and Ethel S. Guldin Agricultural Scholarship and Award Fund. 
Consideration shall be given to all undergraduates in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding success and have documented financial need. Endowed by Mrs. Ethel S. Guldin.

Guldin Speaking Contest. 
Prizes are awarded annually to winners of the Guldin Speaking Contest. Contest rules are available in the Office for Undergraduate Education.

** Gerald and Leoda Gummo Excellence Fund in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records and have documented financial need. Preference shall be given to students from Clinton County, Pennsylvania. Endowed by Gerald and Leoda Gummo.

** Matt and Virginia Haist Endowed Scholarship in Honor of the Master Farmers of Pennsylvania.
Consideration will be given to students enrolled in any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are Pennsylvania residents in good scholastic standing and who have documented financial need. Endowed by Matt and Virginia Haist.

Earl and Kay Harbaugh Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by Earl Harbaugh, Class of 1961, and his wife, Kay Harbaugh.

**Earl K. and Kay L. Harbaugh Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have demonstrated financial need.

N. C. Harris Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to full-time students from Pennsylvania and preferably from Bradford County. Endowed by Katherine Harris.

Arthur W. and Caroline O. Hartman Trustee Scholarship for the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need.

The Honorable Samuel E. Hayes Jr. Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have reached at least fifth-semester standing and who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. Students must be residents of Pennsylvania’s 81st Legislative District in accordance with the 1990 census, which includes the school districts of Bellwood-Antis, Huntingdon Area, Juniata Valley, Mount Union, Southern Huntingdon, and Tyrone Area. Preference shall be given to students who have participated in 4-H or FFA. Endowed by the friends of the Honorable Samuel E. Hayes Jr.

** E. Chester Heim Scholarship Program. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success, have documented financial need, and are members or whose parents or guardians are members of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. Endowed by the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.

Herbert and Donna Hirshfield Family Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a scale of 4.0 or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to varsity student-athletes. In the event there are no qualified student-athletes enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will request nominations from the College of Agricultural Sciences for appropriate recipients.

**The Heiser Family Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Horticulture major within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

**Holcomb Family Scholarship in Horticulture
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students majoring or planning to major in Horticulture in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University Park who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who meet the above mentioned criteria, who have selected the production option under the Horticulture major and who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Lamartine F. and Emeline H. Hood Scholarship for Adult Learners. 
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all adult undergraduate students with the desire to obtain a baccalaureate degree who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences and who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. The award shall be available to new or entering full-time or part-time adult learners who may be in degree, non-degree or provisional status. Established by Lamartine F. and Emeline H. Hood.

** J. Lin Huber Scholarship. 
These scholarships may be awarded to any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, character, leadership, and documented financial need. Endowed by the Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative, Inc., and friends of J. Lin Huber.

Bryce Jordan Student Leadership Award. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in any undergraduate major in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have exhibited outstanding leadership in the college, their community, or an agricultural organization. Endowed by the Penn State Agricultural Council in tribute to Dr. Bryce Jordan, president emeritus, Penn State.

C. Randolf Kahler Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences and who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Preference shall be given to graduates of Hughesville Area High School, Hughesville, Pennsylvania. Endowed through the estate of C. Randolph Kahler, Class of 1921.

** Oscar A. Kimmel Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, who are Pennsylvania residents and who have demonstrated a financial need.

Kirby Family Annual Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

** Kurvin W. and Eva S. Lauer College of Agricultural Sciences Student Grants. Consideration will be given to full-time College of Agricultural Sciences students enrolled in two-year associate or baccalaureate programs or to students in a certificate program or in graduate school. Documented financial need shall be considered of primary importance. Character and leadership also will be considered. Endowed by Kurvin W. and Eva S. Lauer.

The James and Gertrude Leamer Scholarship Endowment for Excellence
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all applicants who are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences as full-time undergraduate students, who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who are in the top fifth of the entering freshman class in the College. Endowed by Mr. and Mrs. James Leamer, Jr.

Herbert E. Longenecker Student Research Endowment.
Funding is available to facilitate undergraduate student research by supporting their study with a faculty mentor on a research project. These monies are not applied to a student’s tuition. Students compete for awards by submitting a proposal supported by a faculty mentor. Endowed by Herbert E. Longenecker.

**Herbert E. Longenecker Trustee Matching Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Food Science major within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Katherine Mabis McKenna Fellowship.
Consideration for this fellowship shall be given to all full-time graduate students exhibiting academic excellence who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences and whose area of study relates to the use of plants for environmental stewardship, especially in stream or watershed conservation. Endowed by the Katherine Mabis McKenna Foundation.

** John Danhouse Martz Jr. Scholarship. 
Recipients shall be undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved or show promise of achieving outstanding future success and who have documented financial need. Endowed by Margaret Sipe and John Danhouse Martz Jr.

** Master Farmers Association Scholarships.
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of academic success, have documented financial need, and are Pennsylvania residents. First preference shall be given to students in production agriculture majors. The scholarships sponsored are The Association Scholarship, the Mason C. Gilpin Scholarship, the Matt and Virginia Haist Scholarship, the Joyce and Ernest Miller Scholarship, the Norman F. and Elsie Reber Scholarship, and the Harry and Kathleen Ulrich Scholarship. Supported annually by the Master Farmers Association.

** Joyce and Ernest Miller Scholarship– Master Farmers Association. 
Consideration will be given to students enrolled in any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are Pennsylvania residents in good scholastic standing and who have documented financial need. Supported annually by Joyce and Ernest Miller through the Pennsylvania Master Farmers Association.

Consideration will be given to full-time undergraduate students planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved a predicted grade-point average of 2.5. Preference shall be given to incoming first-year students from Mifflinburg Area High School who have demonstrated an interest in agriculture through high school, community, extracurricular, or personal activities. Mincemoyer Family Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Alan Nutt Memorial Award. 
Consideration shall be given to any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Endowed by the family of Lt. Alan Nutt, who died in France in 1918.

Ruth and Robert O’Connor Scholarship. 
This scholarship is available to all regional, multi-county, or county extension agents who have at least six years of full-time continuing employment with Penn State Cooperative Extension. Recipients must be enrolled or accepted into a graduate degree or an approved professional development program in a discipline related to their extension expertise. Endowed by Robert and Ruth Funk O’Connor.

Oswald Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The purpose shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding students. Endowed by the estate of Paul J. Oswald.

Gertrude B. Paschall Memorial Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Preference shall be given to students who were raised on a farm or who were active in the 4-H Program. Endowed through the bequest of Gertrude B. Paschall.

Pass-It-On-Fund in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement. Endowed by members of the College of Agricultural Sciences Leadership Committee as a way to encourage students to participate in the philanthropic opportunities within the College.

Penn State Sigma Alpha Alumni Association Award
Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the college of Agricultural Sciences in at least their third semester who have achieved a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. First preference should be given to a full time undergraduate student who is an active member of the Epsilon Chapter of the Sigma Alpha Agricultural Sorority who upholds the ideals of Sigma Alpha through achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service. Second preference should be given to a women enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who upholds the ideals of Sigma Alpha through achievement in scholarship, leadership and service. Third preference shall be given to all full time undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who upholds the ideals of Sigma Alpha through achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.

Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to first-year students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who participated in the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences. The recipient is to be chosen on the basis of demonstrated academic ability and promise of continued academic achievement. Sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences.

**Pennsylvania Master Farmers Trustee Matching Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need.

** Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association Scholarship. 
This scholarship is open to students who are members or sons or daughters in families who are members of PREA. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in Agricultural Education or other majors in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Applications must be filed through the local Rural Electric Cooperative. Applicants must also file college scholarship application forms in the Office for Undergraduate Education. Supported annually by the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association.

William D. and Clara Calhoun Phillips Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time senior undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who demonstrate qualities of leadership, participation in extracurricular activities, and promise of continued public-spirited achievement. Endowed through the bequest of Clara Calhoun Phillips.

Henry F. Pierce II Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have at least fifth-semester standing and who have received below-average grades during their first, second, or third-semesters and have shown marked improvement during their third and/or fourth-semesters. Endowed by Henry F. Pierce II.

**Myron A. and Anita E. Pinkus Charitable Foundation Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in Horticulture.

Poorbaugh Family Award in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement. Endowed by James A. and Katherine M. Poorbaugh.

** John R. Potter Scholarship in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who are residents of Pennsylvania, who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have documented financial need. Endowed by the estate of John R. Potter.

Kelly Shane Quinn Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of academic success.

** Norman F. and Elsie Reber Scholarship–Pennsylvania Master Farmers Association. 
Eligibility is open to students in any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Students must be Pennsylvania residents in good academic standing who have documented financial need. Supported annually by the Master Farmers Association.

**C. Channa and Usharani Reddy Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University. First preference shall be given to students majoring in Animal BioScience in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

** John T. and Janet T. Richards Endowed Scholarship at Penn State. 
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences or the College of the Liberal Arts who have achieved positive academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success, are residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and have documented financial need. The college of the recipient shall alternate year to year. Funded annually by John and Janet Richard.

Clyde S. Robison Memorial Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time first- or second-year undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a two-year or four-year degree program in the College of Agricultural Sciences and who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success and have demonstrated their leadership qualities. Preference shall be given to students interested in production agriculture who have expressed an interest in farming as a career. Endowed by friends and colleagues of Clyde S. Robison.

**Richard H. Ross Family Trustee Scholarship in the College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Animal Sciences major within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Rumbaugh Agricultural Leadership Award. 
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students currently enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences as well as to honor outstanding student organizations within the College. Endowed from the estate of Joseph E. Rumbaugh.

Rumbaugh Family Award. 
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement. Endowed by Joseph E. Rumbaugh in honor of Dorothy Rumbaugh Black, his sister; Virginia Rumbaugh Beatty, his sister; Carolyn Louise Rumbaugh Wickes, his sister; Louise Burkhard Rumbaugh, his wife; and in memory of Elmer and Della Rumbaugh, his parents.

Raymond F. Russell Scholarship.
Consideration shall be given to all residents of Bradford County planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. In the event that a qualified recipient from Bradford County is not available in any year, residents from any other county in Pennsylvania who are planning to enroll in the College shall be considered eligible for this scholarship. Endowed by a trust fund.

The Bernard N. and Beatrice W. Sandson Scholarship in Agriculture. 
Consideration shall be given to all full-time under-graduate student athletes enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by Bernard N. and Beatrice Sandson.

** Donald R. Saylor Memorial Award. 
Consideration shall be given to all returning adult undergraduate students who want to obtain a degree and are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success, and who have documented financial need. Preference shall be given to women within the limitations prescribed under Title IX U.S.C. Established by M. C. Saylor in memory of Donald R. Saylor.

Eugene and Carol Schurman 4-H Scholarship in The College of Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all Pennsylvania resident undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who have been active in Pennsylvania 4-H program in high school. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring or planning to major in Animal Sciences. In the event no students are identified, who meet the eligibility criteria in Animal Sciences, consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all students in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding success and who have been active in the Pennsylvania 4-H program in high school.

Russell C. and Ann E. Seward Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all incoming first-year, full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Russell C. and Ann E. Seward Scholarship for Study Abroad.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students of sophomore, junior, or senior standing enrolled or planning to enroll in an agricultural study abroad program in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Jack C. and Barbara M. Shannon Graduate Scholarship in Plant Physiology
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Intercollege Graduate Program in Plant Physiology or the Ecological and Molecular Plant Physiology Program whose major professor is a faculty member in the Department of Horticulture in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Second preference shall go to graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the above programs whose major professor is a faculty member of another academic unit.

** George W. Sherlock Trustee Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have demonstrated financial need.

Morrell Smith Scholarship. 
Consideration shall be given to all students enrolled full-time in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have at least seventh-semester standing and above-average academic achievement and who have participated in extracurricular student or community activities. Endowed by a trust fund.

Snyder Family Award.
Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are extraordinary academic achievers.

**John L. and Malcolm H. Stehman Trustee Matching Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have demonstrated a financial need. First preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Wood Products major within the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need.

Frank A. and Leona R. Taucher Scholarship
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or manifest promise of academic success.

Ray and Kathryn Treichler Memorial Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of academic success. Endowed by the estate of Ray Treichler.

**H. Fred Troutt Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Science at the Pennsylvania State University who are residents of Pennsylvania who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success and who have demonstrated financial need. First preference shall be for undergraduates interested in applying to Vet school. Second preference shall be for undergraduates interested in applying to Graduate school.

** Trustee Scholarship Fund for the College of Agricultural Sciences.
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated financial need.

Tyson Food Associates Undergraduate Scholarship,
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences. First preference shall be given to children/relatives of employees of Tyson-New Holland.

** Harry and Kathleen Ulrich Scholarship– Master Farmers Association. 
This scholarship is open to students enrolled in any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are Pennsylvania residents in good academic standing and who have documented financial need. Supported annually by the Master Farmers Association in the names of Harry and Kathleen Ulrich.

Harry R. and Kathleen E. Ulrich Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Preference will be given to students with a farm background. Endowed by Harry R. and Kathleen E. Ulrich.

** Harriett Searle Watts Memorial Scholarship. 
This scholarship is available to women students who have junior or senior standing in the College of Agricultural Sciences. The award is based on character, scholarship, and documented financial need. Endowed by friends of Mrs. Ralph L. Watts.

** Women’s National Farm and Garden Association, Inc., Scholarship. 
Eligibility is open to students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are graduating in the upper two-fifths of their high school class and who have documented financial need. Supported annually by the Women’s National Farm and Garden Association.

Horace T. Woodward Scholarship.
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success. Endowed by Horace T. Woodward, Class of 1928.

James E. Work Livestock Judging Award.
Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who have completed both a livestock evaluation, selection, and judging course (currently AN SC 324 or AN SC 325) and who have demonstrated exemplary achievement during competition on the Penn State Livestock Judging Team. Supported annually by James E. Work.

Ronald C. Young Endowed Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration is given to all full-time undergraduate students in their junior or senior academic year enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved positive academic records or show promise of outstanding academic success, and who are interested in the areas of Food Science and Agribusiness Management. Students possessing "good common sense" and with an interest in pursuing a study abroad program will be given preference. Endowed by Ronald C. and Dorothy H. Young.

John T. and Janet Zerbe Scholarship in Agricultural Sciences. 
Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of academic success.
